We live in a world that is surrounded by amazing inventions and marvels. And yet, we do not even realize how amazing some of these creations are. The highly advanced, modern world that we live in has always fascinated me and this has driven me to want to create a blog dedicated to how products are manufactured. Whether you are all about bringing your home into the 21st century or you are just fascinated with the different ways you can make your home "smart," there are plenty tech-savvy features and components on the modern market to pique your interest. But, there's probably one little jazzy smart home feature you don't even know exists: a smart faucet. Would you believe that even these seemingly ordinary bathroom and kitchen components can be replaced with a totally evolved version that is completely worthy of a spot in your modern home? Check out a few things you must know about smart faucets and their cool functions:

Turn your water on without using your hands.

This little feature is just the first and has actually been around for a while, so you may have already encountered a hands-free faucet at some point in a public place. The biggest selling point of these faucets is the fact that they automatically start distributing water when the integrated sensors detect someone standing in front of them or with a simple wave of your hand. This is pretty cool because there are a lot of scenarios that could benefit if you could just have water running right when you need it. For example:

  • You have your hands busy with a super heavy pot that needs to go into the sink and cool off with cold water.
  • You've been squishing the meatloaf ingredients by hand because that's the easiest way to get everything evenly incorporated.
  • Your child has had a majorly messy incident in the bathroom and you don't want to spread the mess.

Get precise control over water temperature from your faucets.

Who wants to stand and fiddle with the knobs until you get what you can only guess to be lukewarm water from the faucet for a recipe? With a digitally-controlled faucet, the guesswork is eliminated from the equation.

These smart little suckers have control valves inside with a digital controller that allows you to select what temperature you want the water to be, down to the exact degree. This means that all you have to do when you walk up to the faucet is tap a button and you are automatically give water from the faucet at the desired temperature for whatever task is at hand. These bathroom faucets are great in homes with small children because you can safely give baths and wash hands without concerns that the water is too hot.
